Our Story

The Hatch story started when good friends Adam Jacobs (Ex THE ICONIC Founder) and Chaz Heitner (Ex Zip Co-founder) came together to build something they were deeply passionate about.

Both founders believe that traditional hiring processes are broken and limit people from finding work that’s a good fit for them. Since founding the company, Adam and Chaz have built a team that shares their mission and are both confident they will continue to build an impactful global company for many years to come.

Employee feedback

AI summarised feedback about Google, based on Glassdoor company reviews.

Glassdoor rating

Last 12 months

3.7

Pros
  • A lot of choice in how you do your job. Empowering most of the time.
  • Good people, lots of opportunities to learn new things.
  • Not having to pay for coffee, food, or snacks - On-site massage/gym/really nice walks and views in offices, great breakout areas and meeting rooms.
Cons
  • Employees have expressed concerns about the company's reliance on temporary, vendor, or contractor positions, which may create disparities in access to information and internal resources, potentially leading to a sense of division and operational inefficiencies within the workforce.
  • Some individuals have noted feelings of disconnect due to the company's expansive growth, which they feel has led to inconsistencies in culture and strategy across different departments, as well as a longing for the company's earlier days.
  • There are sentiments of dissatisfaction regarding compensation and career progression, with some employees feeling that the competitive environment and high cost of living in Sydney, coupled with the potential for long commutes, can negatively impact work-life balance and personal well-being.
